I care more about that silly reporter on next week’s episode than the flashbacks on this week’s one!!!

    • Magdalen

We all do, Mike. We all do.

    • Jay_Bay

That is because clip shows (except very few exceptions) are terrible to do.

    • JD

More then that we an Ikuko AKA “usagis mom” heavy episode .
Wait a minute? Isn’t Mr Reporter Mr Manager? Why doesn’t he have a name ?

Hmm the last part of her name is Kuku. why is that not a surprise?
Kuku for Koko Puffs and avocado sauce

  • If I can watch Mr Mendo’s reviews even with that silly green wig of his, I can watch your series no matter how good or bad your hairstyles might have been at the time.
Most of your ‘dos looked good anyhow. 🙂

    • MichaelANovelli

      Thanks, I think…

      • You’re welcome, it means that you’re good enough of a reviewer that something as distracting as that wig doesn’t put me off watching your reviews.

  • Jay_Bay

Ok let’s do this. THOUGHT TIME!

Oh thanks Nycea. Now I be thinking of where the fuck is Motoki all video long….wait
Oh……..shit. Just that quick huh? Guy goes down, Girl nuked the planet. Fucking hell…
All jokes aside, I do have to admit that the wigs of Sailor Moon and Mercury stay on their heads pretty damn well. Good craftmanship is what I am saying.
Also, I was serious last week. HOW DA FUCK DID THE EARTH (and moon) CAME BACK?
So this is a clip show? Well hid PGSM, well hidden indeed
We watch cuz we are very sad fan peeps and Moonies. And we like you. Duh.
MOTOKI!!! We all missed you and your turtle loving weirdness, and yet no TMNT jokes. That is also weird.
DAT NEXT TIME SEGMENT…I don’t think I am ready to handle the zaniness

With this done, I will pack this comp up. Moving all weekend long to another state (mainly by yourself) is a bitch to do. Later taters.

    • JD

      Good Luck with the move!

      • Jay_Bay

I am beyond tired, but the deed is done.

        • JD

good take the day off on me

    • TiakerAvelonna

The rebirth of the Earth and Moon was never explained in this version as far as I can remember.

And what you said about why we watch Nycea. <3

      • Jay_Bay

What….never explained? So we just have to accept tha…..-BRAIN FAILURE. PLEASE RESTART FOR BOOTING PROCESS-

        • TiakerAvelonna

I could give you the canon reason, but I’ve been trying to curtail the inner otaku.

          • Magdalen

Oh by all means, let loose. We’re all fans here.

          • TiakerAvelonna

            …you’ve been warned. 😛

Basically you can thank Mama Queen Serenity for the restoration. Sort of. The Earth and Moon aren’t destroyed completely; it’s just the citizens of the Moon that are wiped out. Queen Serenity releases the power of the Silver Crystal to seal Metalia and send the spirits of the prince, princess, other senshi, and the kitties to the future to be reborn. This kills her (insert religious reference here). However, since she was so grief-stricken at the time, the seal was imperfect, allowing Metalia to reappear, conveniently in the same time and planet as the Princess (imagine that). Their lair is, oddly enough, in the North Pole. I’m not kidding.

          • JD

So wait a minute.. Ami,Mina,Mako,Rei and Usagi are sisters? Or at least during the silver millennium.?

          • TiakerAvelonna

No. I just used “Mama” to distinguish her from NeoQueen Serenity, Usagi’s future title. That and it was 3 in the morning when I posted that.

          • JD

Ok, not your fault the WIKI Synopsis is badly worded

“She sacrificed her life by using the Silver Crystal to send the court of the Silver Millennium, including her daughter’s, the Solar System Senshi’s, and her daughter’s lover Prince Endymion’s spirits into the future to be reborn on Earth.”

you can read that to mean the Senshi’s were her daughters as well.

take out “including her daughter’s” and it makes more sense.

good god i nit pick sometimes. 🙂

          • TiakerAvelonna

Ooh; that is bad. I just skimmed it to make sure that I wasn’t confusing the anime version with the manga. The anime took many, many liberties.

          • Magdalen

Yeah, you wouldn’t want your daughter to appear on Earth thousands of years later without her BFFs. That’s just mean.

          • TiakerAvelonna

Indeedy do. If you look closely enough in the anime, you can even seen the Outers in their own bubbles. Though I did mean Metalia was revived in the same time and place. 😀

          • JD

oh lord no, especially one as dumb as Sailor Moon.

          • Jay_Bay

And now I know…..AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!!

And the other half-Oreos. Yeah, I’m just as shocked as you.

  • Sean Tadsen

Okay, I’ve been thinking about this for the past few episodes – is it possible for a work to retroactively fail the Bechdel test? Because I think “destroyed two astronomical bodies because your boyfriend died” might just do it.

    • Jay_Bay

      But……how did they come back?

      • Sean Tadsen

That’s beside the point. She committed near-genocide on two planetary bodies. Whatever.

Now, does that single act cancel out all the good writing of female characters or not?

        • JD

          nope a VERY emotional Teen.
they ALL wish they could do this when thier 1st boyfrends even talk to another girl. much less die 🙂

        • danbreunig

That’s what got me thinking about the flashback a few eps ago, with Beryl watching Endymion and Serenity. I’m still hoping that there’s more to her motivation than just the “villainess does what she does ultimately from her past jilted heart” trope.

          • Sean Tadsen

I know. I really don’t want this to turn into a Japanese version of the Supergirl movie.

          • Jay_Bay

I saw what you did there. Good comparison.

    • Magdalen

I plan to talk about this in a later episode- definitely. 🙂

  • JD

A Clip Show? really, PGSM? it was like 1/2 the episode. we get it Usagis an idiot.

  • JD

    Turtle boy goes ballistic.
But as usual just talks when its time to kick some ass.
no wonder Mako dumped him after one date.
