Jerk Lady Gets Park Ranger Fired For Loving Being A Park Ranger Too Much

A park ranger has been FIRED for dancing at work! Deryl Nelson, who worked for the City of Chattanooga, was let go after an offended lady took video of his sweet moves. This is the greatest injustice in the history of Tennessee except slavery and anything bad that has ever happened to Dolly Parton.

The aggressor

This lady, Melissa Parsons, took action that got a man fired from his job, in this economy, for shaking his booty. Watch the short video news report for the footage of the dancing that so offended Parsons she had to start a campaign against a public servant.

This is ridiculous! He didn’t do anything wrong! He was just being silly and having fun! Any kids who were offended are scary little beast monsters who need to learn how to chill the hell out (as do their parents).

    Melissa Parsons- The type of busy-body I can just not stand. What is it with people who want to bring problems onto someone for something like this? She should be ashamed. I seriously can’t stand that “type” of person. “Because, uh, as a parent….” I’m pretty tired of people thinking that just because they procreated that gives them some type of right or informed opinion. You caused a great disruption in a man’s life, needlessly. He’s a park ranger, not in a cop for goodness sake’s. I bet she wishes someone would touch her in her R-rated spot.     I emailed Mayor Burke, and the council. I also signed the petition to reinstate him. I’m just not ok with this type of decision. i listened thought It was going to be a cross between the Chippendale dancers and Michael Jackson. instead I saw Bill Cosby! ( and come on, who was not jealous of that limbo) This is a big issue in this county, way too many loud worthless people making it messed up for everyone else!

    Ok I am a City of Chattanooga employee and a friend of his supervisor. It is more to why he got fired. He has been suspended numerous times unpaid for his behavior. He assaulted a person at a restaurant for not giving him free food, he has wrecked the City vehicles so many times that he was on the way out the door anyway and he attempted to assault his supervisor. His behavior is what got him fired, he literally had one more incident and he was out the door.

      Christie: Even if what you say is true, his supervisor should NOT be sharing it with you and you should not be sharing it with us. There are reasons why so many organizations, when questioned about a former employee, say “It’s a personnel matter,” and refuse to comment.

      Even if what you say is true, you realize that 1) his supervisor should not be sharing any of that information with you, as it i a personnel issue that should be handled internally through HR, not a bunch of town gossips. 2) Your sharing of the information on here goes beyond unprofessional to reprehensible, possibly illegal, and certainly eligible for civil action. Happy lawsuit if you plan on keeping this behavior up. Though, honestly, I imagine you’re more likely an internet troll with no inside knowledge getting off on pretending you have information.

    ok so the mayor responded to me:As I’m sure you understand, we typically don’t discuss personal employee matters, especially as it pertains to terminations. That said, our HR division has provided the following statement that might be helpful to you in understanding the circumstances of this particular situation: “While the City of Chattanooga respects personal information concerning our employees and refrains from commenting on employee issues as it regards terminations, we have received several questions regarding the termination of employee Deryl Nelson and feel it is necessary to respond. As stated previously, there were several factors that led to the decision to terminate the employee. This included a history of inappropriate behavior as well as poor job performance. Mr. Nelson’s personnel file includes 15 instances of corrective action taken since 2007, including a total of 20 days of suspension for making inappropriate and profane comments to female park visitors and a female employee, as well as negligence while operating a motor vehicle that resulted in two preventable accidents.     My response to the Mayor’s response:Firstly, isn’t there some law that protects your personal employee files from just being stated to total strangers?Regardless, if he did ALL OF THOSE things, which, it sounds like a lot of the complaints were bogus since he wasn’t fired before the “15 instances of corrective behaviour”. Since he wasn’t fired it looks like someone had it out for him and was setting up a paper trail. “Poor job performance” and “inappropriate conduct” is subjective and at the will of the person writing him up, which again, could have been a personal thing against him to build a paper trail OTHERWISE YOU HAD ENOUGH OF A PAPER TRAIL BY THE 3RD INCIDENT to relieve him, but you didn’t. So pardon the skepticism, but it all sounds like someone was trying to manage him out in a way that no one owed him a pension or whatever else because “everything was his fault”.I smell huge huge bullshit from you and the HR that provided this information and the person or persons that left this paper trail.

    There’s enough evidence for Daryl to get a lawyer and sue for wrongful termination and harassment by superiors. There’s enough evidence that Christie Morris and her supervisor should be terminated for sharing private employee files with each other and to the world on the internet.Her supervisor is her friend? Should city employees of different supervisory levels be fraternizing with each other outside of work? Wouldn’t this affect their job performance and affect their better judgement for any decisions that need to be made for the betterment of their micro-society?
