Jammie jams! My vote would be for the K-drama. I’ve been curious about those but haven’t taken the time to watch. More interesting to me than video games.

  • I cannot say I have ever watched any live-action K-dramas, I have seen a few J-dramas like Gokusen, Koko Wa Greenwood, and Hana Kimi. I have yet to see the live-action versons of Death Note, GTO or Ranma ½.

    • CaptainCalvinCat

I have watched the live versions of Death Note and Detective Conan and think, both would be a good thing to summarize – by the way, as well as the show “Caprica”, that I am watching right now.

      • JD

Battle Star Galactica might be a better choice since their are more episodes and it had a conclusion. I guess it depends on how much she wants to do, BSG was over 100 episodes if i recall.OR for real a real cheese factor do the 80s BSG 🙂

        • CaptainCalvinCat

Oh, I’d agree on both shows….

That could actually be really entertaining.

    Then there’s the C-drama (Canadian).

    • Magdalen

My GOD…someone’s been illegally tapping this maple tree… but who!?

      • MephLord

no one is reviewing such great shows as Corner Gas, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Trailer Park Boys, Beachcombers, and Anne of Green Gables. It’s quite the travesty eh?

        • Jay_Bay

Degrassi Next Gen? Is that the one with Drake in a wheelchair?

          • MephLord

            That is the one indeed.

          • Jay_Bay

Screw that show (and their flair for the ‘it goes there’ campaign for the final seasons of that group)

        • Jay_Bay

Also, hell yeah Trailer Park Boys! So hilarious.

          • MephLord

Every character is hilarious in that. Phil Collins, Ricky, Randy, Lahey, Bubbles, Julian, J-Rock, Tyrone, Sara…all great, great characters. Also how Cyrus failed his grade 9 is amusing. It’s almost surreal to see a young Ellen Page in the series before she hit it big as a movie star.

          • Jay_Bay

Ellen Page was in TPB? Man, how I miss that?

          • Jason Withrow

She’s Jim Lahey’s daughter! Boy, they could have wrenched issues from that for years but she was only in Season 2. Her plotline with Ricky was actually pretty sweet!

Well here, Nycea, since you say your criteria is based on something you personally both know and like, maybe it would be best that you list your own ideas here, and then we the fans can vote on them. For me to answer “what do you want to see?” would go nowhere because I can guarantee that they’re things you’ve never heard about and much less care to review. So giving your own wishlist here may be more helpful.

And who knows? Maybe I’ll just like whatever series unknown to me that’ll come up next. Before PGSM I knew nothing at all about the Sailor Moon universe–maybe just quick images while flipping through the channels back when it was on–and it wasn’t until your series here that I gained both a quick understanding and liking. It’s now become the one Booth weekend series I come back to regularly–so yay for internet influence!

    • JD

      good idea

    • Magdalen

That seems like a good idea, democratic vote! 😀

  • Yurifan

K-drama’s and video games sound awesome. I’m a sucker for J-dramas.

  • Jay_Bay

I said over on the youtube page, and I say it here…

I’m guessing you are gonna cover the auxillary PGSM videos, the movies and skits and plays(?) I believe. If not, a look at there would be nice. As for what’s next, whatever makes you happy. A host that is into what they are reviewing makes the reviews better (hell, PGSM for example. You got grown people making critiques on a dress like they are some television fashionistas and it’s fun talk). So whatever you choose, I will be there making stupid comments on it.

Though, if you are taking suggestions on stuff, I got one. I seen vids on Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon Super S with reviews, retrospectives, and abridges. But, no one seems to talk about the Star S series. I’m guessing the jokes are well obvious but there is over 100 episodes to pull stuff from.

Also, you talking about games would be pretty cool to listen to.

    • Jason Withrow

While I wouldn’t mind learning more about the Sailor Moon continuity and shows, I think if you (Nycea) are ever going to do them but also want to branch out, it would be better to branch out first and come back later, before you end up… I suppose “typecast” is the word but it’s not quite what I’m looking for. “Stuck in a rut,” I suppose. Up to you!

  • The Horror Guru

    Korean Dramas!

  • Yurifan

How about 11 episode J-drama Boss, about 40 year old Eriko Osawa who becomes the end of an elite crimes unit, but the higher ups give her the worst team members who are rejects from the other parts of the police force. So she has to show the higher ups, her team and herself that she can be the Boss. it’s rare that J- Drama has strong roles for women, and it since it’s short, you don’t have much to review.

  • TiakerAvelonna

Covering the Kirari Super Live! show and Special Act would be awesome. Please?

I can only tell that Kamen Rider seems to be the original version of Power Rangers. So no. >.>

Maybe a one-shot 10-20 minute coverage of the musicals? A series would be absolutely not necessary. Or possibly that interesting. Except to me. >.>

Other than that, I’m don’t have much of an opinion. Have you see Red Dwarf?

    • JD

Oh Red Dwarf would be great.

      • TiakerAvelonna

It’d be ugly after season 4, though. Really went downhill.

        • JD

IDK about that i really like season 8

  • CaptainCalvinCat

I’d like to see something totally unrelated, that has nothing to do with Anime or Life-Action anime shows…

for example NCIS or “The Invisible man”.

    • Magdalen

      I am a fan of the X-Files…

      • The Horror Guru

        X-Files! X-Files! X-Files!

    • $36060516

Are you talking about the “Invisible Man” series that was on the Sci-Fi Channel in the early 2000s starring Vincent Ventresca?

      • CaptainCalvinCat

No more “The invisible man” series from the late seventies, starring David McCallum…

But – X-Files are a good choice, too, after all, that is THE mystery-show of the 90s and early 00’s… and it was a mystery to me, why this show was so well liked. ^^ No, I’m kidding. ^^

And you know, with whom you should do a crossover on X-Files, Nycea? I’m thinking “Chuck” alias “SFDebris”. ^^ I think, that has the potential to hilarity. ^^

  • JD

Magdalen has not given us any choices to vote on yet.but it will be a while before PGSM is done anyway.

  • maarvarq

K-drama sounds intriguing (the weirder the better), video games not so much, but I think anything you can have as much fun with as PGSM (which I knew next to nothing about before these videos) would probably draw us in.

  • Bia Barreto

Maybe you could do a Pretty Cure series (preferably Heartcatch or Smile)? It’s a bit like Sailor Moon, but with more hand-to-hand fighting and less reincarnation subplots.
