I decided not to see this movie when I saw Rachel got replied. I have a mad crush for that woman. I caught some of the film on cable and I was kind’ve indifferent to it. And if you are going to have Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh in a film then darn it, you need to let those two tear it up for fifteen minutes! Last thing I want to see if Brendan Frasier pretend he can hold his own against the original Fist of Legend! That’s like that old Batman episode where they tried to make me believe Robin wouldn’t have gotten his head torn off by Kato in the first ten seconds of their fight.

To be fair, Kato was Bruce Freaking Lee. NOBODY could have made you believe they wouldn’t have gotten their head torn off in the first ten seconds of their fight. Reportedly, Burt Ward was scared to death of him.

        I believe it. 🙂

Honestly, I mostly went to these to watch Brenden be a lovable goof. The rest is gravy.

I loved the Spaceballs reference, as I’ve always thought that was the funniest part of the movie.

I tried to like this movie…I really did. I just…couldn’t…

    Top reasons:

    1) Alex

    2) Evie

    3) The plot

    4) The “romance”

    5) Alex

    6) Alex

    7) Did I mention Alex?
Alex and Evie really grated on my nerves for the entire thing, which ruined the enjoyable parts for me. Not as bad a movie as Transformers, but still…eh.
Side note: They’re rebooting The Mummy? That’s really strange. Not looking forward to that.

    The movie is okay.
It is no Part 2 (my favourite), but it is a fun film.

I have nothing against the fact that Evie is played by Maria Bello – I think, she does a good job.

Alex is okay, too, and if I am honest, one should be able to relate to that character. He is the son of Rick and Evelin O’Connel, he should feel pressured to be this “Tomb Raider”. Because that is what people would expect from him.

And I have nothing against the Romance between him and this chinese woman.
