For your information, “Xmas Story” is from the second season (Productionwise, is season 2, episode 4; broadcastwise, is season 2, episode 8), and it’s a regular episode, like all other Futurama episodes. You can find it here to refreshed your memory:

BTW, there are three Futurama holiday episodes. The others are there for your infomation:

You always DO look tired. And not in that “tired = old” way, because you don’t look remotely old, just that you tend to have that half-asleep “I don’t give a s***” thing through all your vids. I guess it’s a thing by now, isn’t it? Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Why did I say that? I guess it just comes off as if you don’t really care what you’re saying. Which is OK, I guess, it’s the Internet, who really cares here, that’s so pre-90s, but……I’m stopping now.

“Futurama, King of the HIll…The Simpsons during that period when they were funny [author’s edit: you mean 1990-1995?]…Bob’s Burgers […]”

…And American Dad, right? You’re so close to the pentafecta. Oh, and Archer. Sex……fecta? That doesn’t sound right.

“[…] American Dad […] I can see it once, and I don’t want anything to do with it”

You woundth me. I am most wounded. That’s a fantastic show, if you just give it a chance. Or skip to the second season (even though the first has some great stuff too). I will not accept disagreement.

    …Whacha drinkin’ there?

Totoro!!! And that mike looks rather like the Pixar lamp there. Intentional? Ain’t never seen a mike like that. I think.

And [Santa is] voiced by John Goodman. Who is an American treasure. AN AMERICAN TREASURE!!!!

Zoidberg is also the only character who is (for what’s it’s worth) implied to be specifically non-Christian. Not that Christian is the norm (won’t comment), but he’s obviously inspired by Jewish comedic types. And yet, he’s the only one that Santa thinks is a good boy…….Humor!

“And you know what episode I’m talking about, if you’ve ever seen the show”

The…ummm…one that at one point flashes back to the pizza parlor….and mentions Dolomite? The one that everyone (who isn’t me) openly weeps at? That wasn’t a Christmas episode. You don’t mean that horrible Season Six or whatever thing, doya? Probably not. I’da known ten years ago what episode you’re talkin’ about . Do I not have a soul? I don’t cry at that episode, never have. Been judged over that. Are you implying there’s something wrong with that?! And I grew up with….proximate creatures of like genetic structure.

Really, I think it’s a quality production. Can you only “not stand” it because it hurts too good? It’s one of their better-scripted episodes, methinks.

Anything Futurama did prior to being cancelled is totally worth watching. FWIW. After the resurrection…………………..very hit or miss. But, yeah, good episode, as are most over the first four or five seasons.

Oh, you mean “Jurassic Bark” from season 4!

I DIDN’T SAY IT! AND I MEANT TO NOT SAY IT WHY DID YOU?!!!

        Monster!!!

Actually, I don’t care. I’m just trying out that “sensitivity” thing. Because everyone else seems to be wrapped up in such. It isn’t working. I’ve talked plenty with people – including many “manly men” who admit to openly weeping at that episode. I grew up with two dogs. Who died when I was wee. And then another dog. Who also died. And then I had a cat. Who died, by coyote. I’m probably cursed. But I didn’t weep over that episode even. Though I get it, I guess. I’m open to the idea that I don’t have a soul. But whatever. Like most Futurama episodes, it’s interesting, but not wholly compelling. Nothing to get your knickers and/or heart strings all tangled up into.
