Just in time for the release of the movie, we get the last volume of one of the best comic series around. And it's everything you hope for and more. It's the perfect "Closure!" (in the immortal words of the otomatopoeia) to the series. O'Malley's writing and art have seriously never been better. The characters, the humor, the mysteries, and the action all tie together into one wonderful finale. I'm even more psyched for the movie, and I didn't think that was possible at this point.

Urghhh...my copy is being delivered in the mail as we speak. I just have to wait...and wait...and fucking hate.

What with Scott Pilgrim probably being one of the best written comics anywhere at this moment.

On release day, I was struttin' into Borders all "shit yeah, it's here!" but then I don't see it on shelves so I'm like "information desk girl, where it at?" and she's all "sorry, they're all sold out; one guy preordered like 5 copies" and I'm all "SHIT" and, well, there's no other bookstores around so Amazon it is! and I'm trying to avoid spoilers like the plague and every day "FUCK WHY IS IT STILL NOT HERE," but then yesterday I'm in Borders again just readin' Chew (That's another great series, by the way. Lovely art, very original, very funny.) and then suddenly "HOLY SHIT THERE IT IS" it's like a magical fairy that only appears when you least expect it! And then the fairy makes sweet love to me in the form of my reading the comic. 'Twas a good day.

Anyhoo, I'm trying to track down the selfish douche who preordered so many copies. Watch me find him and discover that he got them for, like, charity or something.
