From The Department Of About Time: The Second Anchorman 2 Trailer Is Finally Out

Remember Anchorman? Anchorman was Will Ferrell at the peak of his powers in 2004. There have been rumors of a sequel pretty much since the second the first movie came out, and with the new movie finally coming out in December (need to know exactly when? There’s a handy countdown clock) we’re finally starting to see trailers AND tie-ins.

To celebrate the highly anticipated and star-studded release of Will Ferrell’s Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (in theaters Dec. 20), ice cream makers Ben & Jerry’s have announced that they’re releasing a flavor dedicated to Ron Burgundy and the rest of San Diego’s Action 4 News team, and it’s called “Scotchy Scotch Scotch.”

YOU GUYS LIQUOR-FUELED ICE CREAM IS HERE THIS IS THE FUTURE. Oh wait.

(No, there isn’t any actual scotch whiskey in the ice cream.)

According to the press release, “the flavor is a creamy concoction of butterscotch ice cream with ribbons of butterscotch swirl.”

That is disappointing, to say the least. We’ll be comforting ourselves by drinking actual scotch and watching this countdown clock thingy.

Must be a road-side franchise, sort of like a squished armadiller.

I think I’ll forgo watching any more trailers, because I want the experience to be pure when I finally watch the legend continue. It’s too bad about the ice cream, though.
